What makes Cosmetic Harmony's breast lift so unique?
We have gone beyond the standard breast lift technique. We create an internal hammock with layers of sutures that support the underlying breast to the pectoral muscle in nicely rounded shape. This is one of our signature procedures. The benefits to the patient are enormous:- The breast is not supported by the skin along, but also by the pectoral muscle assuring the client longer lasting and more permanent lift
- Breast will look rounder and fuller
- The breast holds its shape during physical activities
- It is much nicer to the touch
- Many of our patient state that their breasts have the appearance of a 20 year old woman.
- It is like having an internal bra

Ideal Candidate
Breast lift surgery is a highly individualized procedure and you should do it for yourself, not to fulfill someone else's desires or to try to fit any sort of ideal image. A breast lift (mastopexy) is a good option for you if:- You do not smoke
- You have realistic expectations
- One breast is lower than the other
- Your nipples and areolas point downward
- You are not overweight (i.e. your BMI is <30)
- You have stretched skin and enlarged areolas
- You are physically healthy and maintain a stable weight
- You are happy with your breast size, but not their positions
- When unsupported, your nipples fall below the breast crease
- Your breasts have a flatter, elongated shape or are pendulous
- You are concerned by the feeling that your breasts sag, have lost shape and volume
Breast Lift - Your New Look
Many women who have undergone breast lift (mastopexy) surgery are extremely satisfied with their fuller, more uplifted breasts as well as the improved position and size of their areolas and nipples. Though the incision scars may at first be lumpy or pink in color, they will heal and fade to thin white lines over time if you keep it away from the sun. Fortunately, these incisions are often located in areas easily concealed by clothing. The results of your breast lift along with the internal bra technique should be long lasting, unless a significant amount of weight is loss or gained. Nonetheless, pregnancy, gravity and the effects of aging will eventually alter the size and shape of practically every woman's breast. Those who have breast implants in conjunction with their breast lift may find the results to last longer.Breast Lift Incision
There are three common – choice of skin incision is dependent on amount of excess skin and amount of lift required.
Surgery and Anesthesia
Breast lift surgery may be performed in a hospital, an outpatient surgery center. If you are admitted to the hospital, your stay will be a short one. The surgery itself usually takes three to four hours, but may take longer in some cases. Breast lift is performed under general anesthesia. You'll be asleep through the entire operation.Postoperative Recovery
When your procedure is complete, dressings or bandages will be applied to the incisions. Your breasts will be supported in a bra or soft elastic tape. In some cases a small, thin tube may be temporarily placed under the skin to drain any excess blood or fluid that may collect. It is essential that you keep your tapes intact, clean and dry. The first postoperative appointment with your doctor is only a visual checkup no tapes will be replaced. This bra should be worn at all times for 4 weeks or as the doctor advices to provide adequate support and protection. Underwire bras should not be worn during this time. Your first postoperative appointment is usually around 3-5 days.Specific Risks of Breast Lift Surgery
The decision to have breast lift (mastopexy) surgery is extremely personal and you'll have to decide if the benefits will achieve your goals and if the risks and potential complications are acceptable. During your personal consultation the doctor and anesthesiologist will explain in detail the risks associated with surgery. You will be asked to sign consent forms to ensure that you fully understand the procedure and any risks or potential complications. Breast Lift risks:- Infection
- Blood clots
- Anesthesia risks
- Breast asymmetry
- Fluid accumulation
- Unfavorable scarring
- Bleeding (hematoma)
- Pain, which may persist
- Poor healing of incisions
- Possibility of revision surgery

"Most of the risks are very uncommon; some people may be at higher risk than others. Your doctor will discuss this with you during your consultation if any of these risks are specifically pertinent to you."
Although breast lift surgery can be an effective procedure where the benefits significantly outweigh the risks, like everything in the practice of medicine and surgery, it is not an exact science. The degree of surgical success can be altered by how each individual's body responds to surgery and healing. Although good results are expected, there is no guarantee. In some situations, it may not be possible to achieve optimal results with a single surgical procedure; revision surgery may be necessary.Be sure to ask questions:It's very important to ask questions about your procedure. It's natural to feel some anxiety, whether it's excitement for your anticipated new look or a bit of preoperative stress. Don't be shy about discussing these feelings and any specific concerns with your doctor or any of our staff members.
