Most internationals flights arrive in Bogota (capital), Colombia in the later hours of the day, so even though we count this day as day 1 you will most likely only be here in Bogota for a few hours of the day.
You will be picked up at the airport and taken straight to the hotel or grocery shopping (if is not too late in the evening). Since you will be taken to get blood work done early in the morning of day 2, you should have your last meal before 11 PM of day 1.
Your patient coordinator will pick you up at 7:00AM for blood work. Make sure you have a completely empty stomach, you may brush your teeth in the morning, but don’t drink the water.
Wear comfortable clothes, this is usually a long day. After the blood work is done you, will be returned to the hotel for an hour so you can have your breakfast, then taken to the anesthesiologist for the pre-op consultation, then to fit the compression garment.
In the afternoon, you will see your board certified plastic surgeon. After you are satisfied with the consultation, you will need to pay the remaining balance of your cosmetic surgery package. Your last meal should be no later than 10 pm.
Early in the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel and taken to the clinic for surgery. You must have a completely empty stomach. Wear comfortable clothes, don’t bring anything of value with you like jewelry, but do bring all medications you are currently taking, contact lenses solution, etc.
In the afternoon hours your patient coordinator will be at the clinic to pick you up and take you to the hotel where a nurse will be waiting for you. She will be there with you for 2 to 4 hours to help you with everything you need and to make sure you are comfortable.
In the morning, the nurse will be over to help you with all the morning activities, give you your medication and accompany you for a short walk. Try to keep your mind entertained with movies or books.

During the day your patient coordinator will be over to make sure all is well and accompany you for a short walk. If the surgeon recommended massage therapy, you will start on day seven or eight.
Since Post-op therapy is not recommended to every single patient, the fees are not included in any of our packages. Each therapy session can cost around $60 USD
This is a great day! Usually, it is on this day when patients start feeling well and ready to venture out to visit the mall and restaurants. It is best to stay away from salty foods like, canned food, frozen dinners and fatty foods.
By day 9, inflammation should start to come down and you will see some results from your surgery. During this day you will receive your daily post op massage therapy.

It is a free day for you to enjoy the City. We can arrange city tours or sightseeing in the outskirts of the city.
This is you last checkup before departure; you will receive doctors recommendations for the following weeks and answer to any questions you may have. Some airlines ask for a medical release in order to let you board the plane, so don’t forget to ask your surgeons for a note in writing.
